Confirmation

We consider confirmation a very important part of what God has given us to do as a parish.

Confirmation starts in the fall of the 7th grade year and concentrates on the Bible, learning the narrative of the Old and New Testaments, and what God is telling us. The second year the 8th graders concentrate on Lutheran doctrine using Luther’s Small Catechism and memorizing major portions of it. The confirmands write Faith Statements and review in the fall of their 9th grade year and are confirmed in October. The 7th grade class is taught by our Youth Director Kari Feldhaus and the 8th grade class is taught by Pastor Terrill. They are both blessed by the time they spend with these young people.

8th Grade Confirmation 2023-24

We currently have 18 active 8th grade confirmation students who gather confirmation class each week. They are learning the small catechism.

7th Grade Confirmation 2023-24

We currently have 15 active 7th grade confirmation students who attend confirmation class each week. We went caroling at Spruce Court and Wheatcrest Hills at Christmas.
